[ Keyleth looks up at the figure in the tank and yelps softly, taking a step back. The emaciated, twisted body resembles the creature of her nightmares, well. Kind of a lot. Except for those weird crystals fused with his skin. ]
I've been lucky enough to stop him from obtaining his oh so desired godhood though.
[ And at this point he approaches Keyleth and takes one of her hands in his. There is that small look of hesitation on his face as he's still not sure if he should share, but, at this point? Keyleth is one of the few good friends he has here. No one from home knows him and anyone who would is still asleep. So...it's time to trust and let that wall down. ]
Every attempt he has made to send the world into chaos to try and gather power I've managed to stop.
The first being surviving an explosion that nearly leveled a mountain and killed thousands and taking the tool he needed from him. It was all...all of it was chance, but, the people- they believe me some kind of chosen delivered to them from a religion I don't even believe.
[ And at this point he's nearly shaking, all the pressure having built up for some time and carried over here. A destiny shoved onto him that he didn't want and knew he would have to face at some point. But, at this point he realizes he can't keep going on about himself. Or his frustration or pain at being some kind of divine agent.
This was about telling his friend the truth. ]
So...that's about it. I just wanted to tell you this because I know what it must be like to have this burden and I will help you all carry it if this Vecna ever awakens.
[ That sounds hellish. Being forced into the role of a messiah? The very thought makes Keyleth want to cringe and hide. She swallows hard, unsure why her eyes are stinging, save that her friend is obviously upset. She leans over and wraps both arms around Sen's shoulders and hugs him tight. ]
[ He does a good job at holding his own tears in. He's practiced to keeping his pain far below the surface to ever reach the top. But, this was a moment of vulnerability for him. He mentioned so many times to his companions he didn't believe himself to be chosen, but, some believed he was. To hold all those hopes on his shoulders was a huge weight.
So, when he's pulled into a hug by his taller friend he stands there for a moment partially stunned. It had been a while since he had received such an embrace. It wears off after a moment and he just kind of gives in to it. He just, rests his head against her chest and returns her hug. ]
There's nothing to apologize for. You didn't blow up any temples.
[ She gives him a lingering squeeze, and Keyleth may not be the most together, the most socially graceful or eloquent, but she's pretty decent at hugs. ]
You know if this...Coryphy guy wakes up, we've got your back too, right?

Oh, holy shit. You have one of these too?
[ Small world. Or, worlds. Small and sad. ]

He breaks away for a moment but he lets her hands still linger and there's that sad smile. ]
You and Pike are alike in mind it seems. It's the same for me and this Vecna, I'll be at your back.

[ And Sen is honorary VM, as far as Keyleth (and apparently Pike) is concerned. ]
