Fearing for his life might as well have been Zevran's constant state of being, so even with the threat of Demona coming for his head, he did not seem particularly harried when he slid up to Keyleth seemingly out of nowhere, golden eyes cast up to try and catch a peek under those pretty flowing skirts.
"I have arrived, my fiery haired savior. Are you planning to make a pie with all of those?"
Spoiler alert, she was completely naked under those skirts, and always was. Keyleth didn't believe in underwear.
"Oh, I don't bake very well," she admitted, peeking down at him through the laden branches. "I tried to make almond bark once...did you know it doesn't actually have bark from almond trees in it? So the head baker takes care of all the baking. I still grow the best fruit, though. Here--" She plucked a sun warmed peach from one of the topmost branches and then leaned over to hold it out, intending to drop it into his hands. "Try one."
Chalk that up to the long list of reasons why Zevran liked her so much.
"I would have never guessed." He replied, amused by the thought that anyone would genuinely think almond bark was a good idea — with or without actual bark from a tree. He reached up to take the peach, set it to his lips, and took a bite. After a moment he hummed, seemingly pleased. "The second best peach of yours that I have tasted."
"Oh really? You had one of my peaches before?" Keyleth's expression didn't change at all, though if Zevran looked very close he might catch a hint of delighted mirth in her eyes. She did so enjoy fucking with people. "You know I did have a problem with fruit thieves a little while back, though they preferred my apples." Okay, she couldn't keep the smirk off her face with that one.
